Keep your Tops On

Don’t waste a good thingNutritious Green Tops

  • Who – Root vegetables with tops (beets, carrots, radishes, turnips, etc)
  • What – Both the leaves and stems
  • How – Simply wash thoroughly and prepare to your liking (I soak mine in vinegar, garlic & lemon before sautéing)
  • When – Keep your eye out in your local produce section for organic vegetables in season
  • Why – Green tops hold a high nutritional content and can be used in sauces, juicing, side or main dishes
